Our January book Club selection is Follow Me by David Platt.
What did Jesus really mean when He said, “Follow me?”
Is it possible for people to say they believe in Jesus but not truly be born again?
Is it possible for people to claim they have accepted Christ into their hearts yet not actually be Christians?
Not only is it possible, but according to Pastor David Platt, it’s also highly probable. The author of the bestselling book Radical is convinced that many people in our churches today are misled as to what it truly means to be a follower of Christ. Western culture has drained the lifeblood out of Christianity and replaced it with a watered-down version of the gospel that is so palatable it isn’t even real anymore.
“Follow me,” Jesus calls.
Two simple words that change everything. You will never be bored. You will always have purpose. You will never lack joy. But it will cost you. This call is not an invitation to pray a prayer. It is a summons to lose your life.
a call to die. a call to live. Have you answered that call?
January's book is a challenging book and is geared to help us start the year with our head and our heart focused on Him and how we can lead others to Him. Please feel free to pick this book up in January and join the club. If you decide to join, please send mea quick email or drop a communication card in the basket on Sunday so that I know you are reading along with us.

Wow, do we have a treat planned for you in 2015!!
Join us as we move through each month reading a new book together. Some months we will read a fiction book and other months we will read a non-fiction book. Plan to see an original post here, and then plan to follow the study on Facebook. This is a great opportunity to fellowship with other ladies of Sonlight who like to read. We will have different activities each month such as group dialogue, question and answer time, as well as meeting together as a group throughout the year. Our Facebook group will also be a location where you can share your reviews of a book, recommend books to each other, a place where we will post any known deals about books, and a place where you can enter into any giveaways that we have.
You are welcome to join at any time of any month by popping into the Facebook group or by picking up the book and being ready to read it. That's it! Simple right?? Absolutely!!
Stay tuned for the title of our first selection.
See you soon,
Please reach out to a member of the Sonlight Women's Ministry team if you have any questions.
